Clifden is the largest
town in Connemara, and viewed as the region's capital.
The town is located just 50 miles (76 kilometres) west
of Galway City on the N59. Byrnes Mal Dua House is
also situated on the N59, Galway Road 1km before the
town on the right hand side.
Clifden is a lively spot,
with excellent resturants and many sociable pubs. The
striking skyline is dominated by the spires of neo-Gothic
Catholic church and the nearby Church of Ireland. Don't
miss the scenic Sky Road circular drive, along Clifden
Bay.
